NEWTON CRISIS AID 1 and 2 and 3

by admin on 15 September, 2016

1) All those sympathetic to the cause are warmly welcome at St Pauls Church Hall, Devon Square tomorrow (Friday) evening, from 7.30 for an Anniversary “Celebration” Event, one year on from our founding meeting. Light refreshments available ( free) but a voluntary donation would be welcome. Raffle and Guest Speaker, plus visual presentation of first year’s work and achievements.
Do please come along.

2) The latest way to help is to bring medicines to the Thursday 2 – 4 pm race course collection. On my most recent visit to the Taunton hub, last week end, it was suggested that we might like to start collecting those unused medicines we all collect over a period of time…..Doctors are working in the refugee camps very often in dreadful conditions with virtually no medical facilities. They are very keen to make use of those items we no longer require…tablets/creams/bandages etc etc etc. Please help in this new way.

3) I am not (yet?) inundated with Christmas Card designs. I am hoping to produce a Christmas Card designed by a local child/student ( though at the moment any adult would be equally welcome to help) Sadly no local school has taken up my invitation to help, though I live in hope of a contact in the next few days. However, that does not rule you out…please consider designing a card with a very broad Christmas theme, demonstrating the work of NCA…..perhaps a lost child/ a war scene/a First Aid tent….the possibilities are, if not endless at least considerable. I’d love to hear from you.
