I have been known to be critical of local authorities, and when criticism is thought necessary I shall continue to make it. However, when the contrary is true, let’s never be slow in praising….and I am very happy to do so right now.
I spent an hour or so this morning hacking back the growth from the St Marychurch / Shaldon Road junction and the area in front of the new flats. I probably won’t win any plus house points for neatness but it has been effective and a surprisingly large number of residents have already thanked me., including an elderly lady who came by in her mobility scooter and said she had just about reached the point where she could no longer get along the path. However, I want to say a big thank you to Mandy Life at Teignbridge and the Teignbridge employee ( sorry, no name…) who she allowed to help clear away the debris, and there certainly was a lot. In addition thanks to Cllr Jackie Brodie, who also helped. I couldn’t have moved it in 4 or 5 car trips, so I’m very grateful for the help given.
