Liberal Democrat District Councillor for Buckland and Milber Learn more

It’s always really good when something you’ve been trying to achieve for some time happens, or you are notified that it’s about to happen.
I asked ( not for the first time it should be said) when vital repairs to the Shaldon Road were going to happen. This road has become increasingly dangerous, with ever growing potholes, so it was pleasing to be told today that the road is to be resurfaced next week, weather permitting. The footpath is also in a very poor condition and will also be repaired, though that may not be at exactly the same time.
The work will take place in the evenings, hopefully finishing each evening at about 11pm. Diversions will be put in place.
I appreciate that this will cause some inconvenience to some residents of Buckland and Milber, but I hope that the long term benefits will outweigh the short term pain.
