Corona Virus Statement

by gordonhook on 20 March, 2020

In response to the Covid-19 coronavirus I was asked to make a statement and so earlier this week issued the following…
“It is now clear that the coronavirus pandemic is set to challenge us all in unique ways. However, amid the uncertainty one thing is clear and certain; we will need to work together and help each other over the coming months.
The Teignbridge Managing Director is working closely with Devon County Council and the other Devon District Councils.
Town and Parish Councils have activated their Emergency Committees.
Teignbridge CVS will be working with voluntary and community groups on how they can ensure everyone has access to support whether they are unwell, isolating or caring.
Teignbridge is fortunate to have a vibrant voluntary sector with many voluntary and community organisations with long-standing community relationships and experience of getting things done. CVS is working closely with them to support mutual aid networks in communities. Anyone who feels they can help and wishes to volunteer should contact their Town or Parish Council or Teignbridge CVS ( 01626 326130)
This is going to be a tough period and things are changing every day- but we can get through it by thinking of each other with every action, and taking care of our neighbours along with ourselves”

I am happy to add that of course if I can help in any way please do not hesitate to get in touch.
