No deaths from Coronavirus have been reported now for two days in Devon or Cornwall. This is most welcome news.
This area has seen the least number of deaths from CV, and I for one want it to stay that way. 257 people of all ages have sadly died, and each one is a tragedy for those involved, their families and friends. 84 of these deaths have been in Cornwall and 173 in Devons hospitals. ( 36 in Torbay Hospital)
We are in grave danger of opening the country, and this region, to increased infection by unlocking too soon. I fear a “second wave” of infection, particularly as we have been so effective in keeping the infection levels so relatively low here in the far South West.
IMO stay home and continue to self isolate as much as practical. The advice being given by Government is simply ridiculous and driven by economic considerations, rather than the health of the nation.Leave a comment
