There has been much activity on social media regarding reports that Queensway is closing for 49 days.
I’m pleased to put the record straight.
There are no plans to close Queensway, which should remain open to traffic throughout, while repairs to the footpath are undertaken.
The slabs are being taken up and replaced with a new asphalt surface.
