The Daily Mail, not always noted for its sober reasoned reporting of information has, so I am reliably informed, an article in today’s edition about the 10 areas in the country with highest CV infection rate rises. In the article Plymouth is listed in that top ten
Plymouth has seen a rise of 150% in its infection rate…from 2 to 5 cases. When you consider that Leicester has over 500 in the last few days, it puts Plymouths problem into perspective.

Scare mongering at any time is poor journalism, but right now in the age of Covid, it is certainly not helpful.
The facts are that the South West region has the lowest infection rate and the least number of cases. ( thankfully) The further south and west you go, the less of a problem there has been. The worry of course is that with the holiday season about to start, with many hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers due to visit Devon and Cornwall from all over the country, we stand to see those infection figures rise.
