Teignbridge Full Council met this morning. It was a long meeting (perhaps 4 hours?) and can be viewed on the council’s website.
A highlight (I’m sure that should be a low light) was the hysterical outburst of NSN councillor, Cllr Liam Mullone. He broke just about every rule of council debate with a ranting, screaming, wandering outpouring. The issue he was so incensed about is immaterial for the moment,(it may well have been valid!) as he lost sympathy for any case he might have by his gross ill manners. It was so utterly unnecessary and uncalled for, and debased himself and the position of councillor. At one stage I thought he was on the verge of a fit.
This was simply unacceptable and while it isn’t the first time Cllr. Mullone has acted in a bizarre way, one can only hope it is the last such episode.
