It was announced yesterday afternoon that in the hours immediately after the General Election was called our national party membership grew by over 5,000. I have just heard that in the 24 hours after the announcement 8 new members joined in Newton Abbot alone! This is simply staggering, and I have not known anything like it in a life time of political activity. To them all I say a very warm welcome…and to those who may be “out there” and “trembling on the brink”…come on in. Go on line…Liberal Democrat Membership…and sign up for as little as a £1 a month.
