A planning application for 1275 houses has been received for the Wolborough Barton area of Newton Abbot. In addition to the 1275 houses the plan includes a primary school, up to 3500 sq metres of employment land, two care homes providing up to 5,500 sq m of floorspace, up to 1250 sq m of community facilities a local centre up to 1250 sq m of floorspace, open space ( play areas/allotments/MUGA) and associated infrastructure.
In addition a change of use application for the existing farm buildings to a hotel, restaurant and bar/drinking establishment, including erection of new build structures, construction of an access road and parking, plus other associated minor works.
