Tomorrow evening (7 pm at the Community Centre) sees an attempt to introduce two new schemes to Buckland, in response to requests from residents. We hope for a good response from locals who are keen to help with either or both schemes. These new organisations will only succeed with community support, so here’s hoping. All welcome to come along. The local Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator ( Cllr Mike Joyce) will be attending as will the Anti – Social Behaviour Officer from Teignbridge Council. The local police, schools, churches have been notified and I hope many willing helpers will join in. This isn’t a meeting to air grievances, it’s a meeting aimed at establishing a working organisation of those concerned about improving the area. Please come prepared to offer practical help by replicating locally what works well elsewhere.
