One of our election promises 15 months ago was that if we won the election, which we did, we would introduce recorded named voting for all meetings. We have kept that promise, and now anyone can see as part of the publicly available record of all Teignbridge Council meetings, how any councillor voted on any question.
That is opening up the council to improved public scrutiny, and I was pleased to see it in operation ( not for the first time) at today’s Planning Committee meeting. Teignbridge Lib Dems acting democratically and opening up the council. Another promise kept.
