Covid Over? I think not

by admin on 10 June, 2022

The Government continues to claim success on various fronts which are simply not true.
A classic example is the one about CV having ended and there being no need for the public to show any restraint. This is complete nonsense of course, as many realise. I personally know people who have gone down with the illness in the last 10 days, and figures just released by The Office for National Statistics (ONS) confirm a rise in cases this last week. This is the first rise in two months and it demonstrates clearly that many remain ” at-risk”. The ONS figures state that 989,800 people in private households ( ie not care homes or hospitals) are estimated to have had the virus last week…up from 953,900 the previous week. These are simply astonishing figures IMO, particularly as no one is compelled to report infections any more and test kits are strictly limited. However, our Government continues to mislead the public by brazenly saying that they conquered Covid. Clearly just another “Borisism”…yes, we would all like to believe it is over and finished with, but it really is no good Boris and his fellow half-wits in Government claiming yet another vacuous ” success”.
