I spent yesterday delivering and canvassing in Colyton which is a part of the parliamentary constituency of Tiverton and Honiton where a by-election is being held next Thursday. It was my 5th visit and with a colleague I spent most of the day in Colyton.
It was the first time on my visits that I gat a real sense of what is happening, and while I totally accept it’s a small sample, what I found was encouraging. We are winning, by some margin, the poster site ” battle”, with estate agents coming second. I spoke to perhaps 20/25 people, and if that is an accurate cross-section of the voting population, then we are in with a good chance…certainly a good result.
If, like me, you feel the country would be better off without Boris the Buffon and lying toe rag as our Prime Minister, why not go and help get rid of him? Electoral defeat in T and H on Thursday, where the Conservative Party has a majority in excess of 24,000 would make a powerful statement. The Lib Dems have offices in both Tiverton and Honiton…Honiton is very visible on the High Street.
