A Working Party of local councillors and officers is currently studying and drawing up recommendations regarding the allocation of sites for future house building within Teignbridge.
This Working Party is due to report at a meeting to which all councillors are invited on September 13. Following this meeting, a final package of proposals will go to a Full Council meeting on December 15th.
This exercise is a requirement of the central government, which dictates to every local authority in the land how many houses must be built within the District
Numerous consultations have already been held and something like 6000 responses have been received by Teignbridge.
