I’m sure we all agree that discharging raw sewage into our rivers and seas is totally unacceptable.
Water companies appear to have made no investment in infrastructure since 1992, and yet the huge salaries and bonus payments to CEOs are nothing short of obscene.
Water companies claim they only discharge raw sewage ( under license) when heavy rain swamps the system….so why I ask, is any raw sewage currently being discharged into our rivers and seas? Surely no one can legitimately claim we are experiencing heavy rainfall.
I have suggested our local sewage outfalls get renamed, “The Boris Johnson Memorial Sewage Outlet”.
