All District Councillors (and Devon County Cllrs.) are allocated cash for their communities.
Organisations(charities/schools/clubs etc) can ask their local councillor for financial help for a specified project.
Most councillors enjoy helping local organisations in this way; IMO it’s one of the best things about being a councillor!
I regularly get asked for money and have easily allocated all of mine.
It is disappointing therefore to see some councillors haven’t used any of their allocation for the current financial year.
If you or your organisation want some money therefore, look up the current situation on the Teignbridge Council web page, where you will see which councillors have used all or some of their money…and which haven’t. You will need to hurry if you could use financial help as only a few days are left to make a claim.
Those councillors who as of today still haven’t used any of their community funds are Cllrs. Mullone;Orme; Peart; Russell and Tume.
