At a recent meeting of HATOC ( Highways and Traffic Orders Committee ) I pointed out that many of the yellow boxes which should prohibit cars entering certain road spaces, usually at road junctions, in and around town, have come close to disappearing. I mentioned in particular the one on Shaldon Hill, near the Queensway junction and also the one o/s BnQ.
In addition I pointed out that the roundabout at Balls Corner would benefit from the addition of another such yellow box ( or two) as time and again traffic flow is interrupted unnecessarily by drivers blocking the flow, sometimes due to the traffic lights on the Kingskerswell Road ” trapping” motorists.
The requests are being “actively considered”.
