I have just returned from making a presentation of a book token to the Year 2 pupil at Rydon Primary School in Kingsteignton, Sebastian Smith, who won the recent Newton Crisis Aid (NCA) Christmas Card design competition. It was supposed to be a secret, but somehow the secret got out!!!
I am so pleased to be able to place on record my gratitude to the Head Teacher, Nick Banwell, to the staff and most important of all of course to all the pupils who took part. So, a very big thank you to them all.
The cards are due to arrive from the printers tomorrow (Thursday)and will be on sale hopefully from then on. We are selling them as packs of 10, with envelopes, for £5.50 a pack or 2 packs for £10. The school will have some for sale, and other outlets will also, including The Avenue Church on Sunday, the NCA stall at the Victorian evening in early December and at the Coffee Morning at The Church House in Abbotskerswell on Saturday December 3rd (10am onwards). All money raised will go to the NCA funds.
